At Lustre, we’ll admit it—we’re totally biased when it comes to Colombian emeralds. We’ve seen them, held them, and been completely hypnotized by their magic. The stones we love fall into a category we call rare beauty—pieces that are scarce, vibrant, and deeply connected to their place of origin. It’s the kind of beauty that doesn’t scream for attention... but certainly gets it anyway.
We’re not into the loud, the flashy, or the “more is more” mindset. Bigger isn’t always better in our world. That said, we can’t help but be amazed by just how far some people will go to make a statement with emeralds.
So, just for fun, here’s a roundup of the boldest emerald moments we’ve seen in the last 12 months:
WHO | WHERE | WHAT | HOW MUCH (AUD) |
Maluma | Met Gala | Jacob & Co watch set with 714 Muzo emeralds (148 carats!) | $7.5 million |
Kim Kardashian | Ambani wedding | Lorraine Schwartz emerald headpiece—500 carats of green drama | Undisclosed |
Priyanka Chopra | Met Gala | Bvlgari’s Magnus necklace, featuring 241 carats of emeralds | $20 million |
